This paper aims to provide an extensive overview of the literature on 5S and identify any potential gaps from the perspectives of practitioners and scholars. The paper provides an overview of the application of 5S and emphasizes the successes that have been attained through the deployment of 5S initiatives for long-term organizational performance.
