This study examines the influence of Employment Life Quality (ELQ) on satisfaction of work among faculty members in Kerala. Data were collected from 250 respondents using a structured questionnaire encompassing seven dimensions of ELQ, which comprise work environment, compensation, work-life balance, institutional support, professional growth, recognition, autonomy, and collegiality, along with a scale of five items for Satisfaction with work. Correlation analysis showed that satisfaction with work and several ELQ dimensions were strongly related to each other, particularly work environment (r = .389, p < .01), work-life balance (r = .391, p < .01), and institutional support (r = .334, p < .01). Multiple regression analysis revealed that work environment (β = .272, p = .001) and work-life balance (β = .264, p = .001) were significant predictors of Satisfaction with work, explaining 22.5% of the variance (R² = .225). These findings highlight the central role of supportive environments and balance between professional and personal life in enhancing faculty well-being. The study contributes empirical evidence for higher education policymakers in Kerala to design targeted interventions that strengthen ELQ and, in turn, improve “Satisfaction with Work”.
