Abstract

The restaurant industry in Asia is rapidly embracing artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance marketing, operations, and customer experience. This paper reviews the latest AI innovations relevant to restaurant marketing in Asia, including personalized recommendation systems, content-generation tools, chatbots, and data analytics platforms. We examine recent adoption trends and government initiatives in key Asian markets and present illustrative case studies. Barriers to implementation (e.g., infrastructure and skill gaps) are discussed. Finally, we propose a strategic framework for restaurants to maximise their return on AI investments. Our analysis finds that AI-driven marketing and service tools can significantly improve guest engagement and operational efficiency across Asia’s diverse restaurant sector.
